Tuesday – Shopping Splurge

I have been on a bit of a spending spree this week but to be fair they were all fab prices so I cant complain and I love the stuff I have ordered

Some supplies I was really needing (I know the brushes look cheap and nasty – they were but they are just for glue and gesso so not fussed)

Base of my sisters Christmas Present my sister Laura loves fairies and has been collecting them for many years so now I have got a tad more confident in my skills

I decided this year to make her something rather than buy, the L is paper mache excuse my spelling lol x but I am going to prime the base and then coat it with some texture medium adding in some lace to give it texture, I will then add lots of flowers and foilage and also some wee gemstones, the little fair ornament below is being added either on top of the L or against the back I am not sure yet (I have a vision in my head of how I want it but need to wait till it arrives and work it out from there)

My sisters Bithday is on Hogmanay (new years eve) and almost ever year we stick £20 in an envelope for my sister as it is shocking to know what to buy her when Christmas was the week before but I saw this canvas an I loved it especially the wording stunning, so am also going to bling up this canvas a little just some diamante bits here and there so they catch the light.

I have my first craft sale at the end of November (infact 2 29th Nov and then 1dec I am sure I must be mad) anyway, was hunting out ways to dress my table to make it look nice,

I have so many items, cards, scrapbook pages, christmas decorations, jewellery, christmas kits, and also my hair clips so trying to fit that all on one table wasnt going to be easy but I wanted to make sure that I had it displayed as nice as possible but cheaply so decided on the pin board which I will decoupage and add some nice colour around the frame, the pins(tacks) I will decorate with either rhinestones, flatback pearls, tiny roses, or paper circles and use glossy accents to give it definition. I again know in my head what I want I just need to pull it off.
